Founded by the Spanish in 1565 and the oldest European settlement in the United States, St. Augustine, FL. is a resort city with a rich history. Just off U.S. 1, Travelodge is only one mile from the historic district. Among the landmarks are Castillo de San Marcos, the Basilica of St. Augustine, the Mission of Nombre de Dios and Old Spanish Inn.
