Location. The stately Polonia Palace Hotel is located in Warsaw, Poland, 300 metres from the Palace of Culture and Science, and the Galeria Centrum shopping centre. The Old Town, Royal Castle and Great Theatre and National Opera are within three kilometres. The historic Jewish Ghetto is five kilometres away. The hotel is eight kilometres from Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW).
Hotel Features. Built in 1913, the historic Polonia Palace Hotel has been renovated but retains many original period features. Multilingual front desk and concierge staff are on hand to advise guests 24 hours a day.
Contemporary Polish dishes with a Mediterranean twist are served in the Polonia Palace Hotel's Ludwikowska Restaurant. Turn of the century features decorate the dining room that has white table linen and chandeliers. European and Polish specialities, including homemade cakes and local coffees, are on offer in the Viennese inspired caf�, Strauss Restaurant, which is also the setting for the daily, 200 item complimentary buffet breakfasts. Items range from fresh fruit and cold cuts to Asian influenced dishes, French cheeses and caviar. Swing and jazz tunes play in Bojangles Bar, a modern lounge bar with snacks and cocktails on the menu. Room service is available 24 hours (surcharge).

From Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW):
Distance to Polonia Palace Hotel is eight kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The number 175 bus, which runs from the airport to the old town and the city centre, stops directly in front of the hotel. The number 188 bus links the airport to the city's suburbs. Single tickets cost 3 PLN. From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., night bus number 611 runs every 30 minutes from the airport to Warsaw's central railway station. The bus stops are in front of the arrivals hall. Some hotels offer airport transfers. The Intercity Polski Express provides long distance coaches to 30 Polish towns. Tickets are available from the ORBIS desk at arrivals, or from the driver. Taxis wait outside arrivals and cost approximately 35 PLN 45 PLN (10 EUR) to central Warsaw. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Jerozolimskie Av. Warsaw's extensive public transport network includes buses, trams, and metro services. The single line metro system operates every five to eight minutes from the city centre to the southern suburbs. Single tickets cost 2.40 PLN, and 24 hour passes cost 7.20 PLN. Trams and buses run between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., and night buses are also available. Horse drawn carriages offer an alternative way to explore the city's old town. Trains run from Warsaw to destinations throughout Poland.
Driving directions. From Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW):
Drive into the city centre from the west, using Zwirki and Wigury Str. which becomes Jerozolimskie Av.
Turn right onto Poznanska Str.
The Polonia Palace Hotel is on the left hand side.
